Named the Most Popular Japanese Cars in Secondary Car Market

The leaders of the rating were Toyota cars.

Specialists of the analytics and statistics agency Avtostat Info calculated sales of Japanese cars in the secondary car market in Russia. As a result, a rating of the most popular models was compiled. It is headed by the Toyota Camry business sedan – in January 2020, 5,110 transactions were completed with the participation of this car, which is 8% more than the same period last year. In second place is another Toyota representative – the Corolla sedan.

Last month, it was resold 3,253 times (+ 1%). The Bronze rating goes to the Mitsubishi Lancer sedan – this model is no longer sold in Russia, but on the secondary it is still popular (3,090 pcs.). Two crossovers complement TOP-5 – Toyota RAV4 (3 056 units, + 20%) and Nissan Qashqai (2 625 units, + 16%).

In the sixth position of the rating is the most expensive car among the leaders – the Toyota Land Cruiser SUV (2,580 units, + 8.5%). Behind it are the Nissan X-Trail (2,421 units, + 24%) and the Mitsubishi Outlander (2,184 units, + 10.6%).

TOP-10 is closed by two Mazda sedans – the more compact Mazda 3 showed the result in 1,999 resold cars (-1.3%), and with the participation of the Mazda 6 business sedan, 1,878 transactions were made in the secondary car market (+ 6%). In January, there was a significant increase in sales of Japanese cars in the secondary market – the number of transactions amounted to 324,984 units. against 300 615 pcs. a year earlier.

Secondary truck market in January showed an increase of 16%

As Autostat Info informs, last month in the Russian Federation 17,191 vehicles were sold on the used truck market.

The volume of resales increased by 16.2% compared to last year (14,793 units) due to a 16% increase in the segment of Russian equipment (up to 9613 units) and an increase in resales by 16.5% (total 7,579 units) in the segment foreign cars.

Over 27% of the resale came from KamAZ brand cars. A total of 4,724 used trucks of this brand were sold, which is 18% more than last year (4,000 units).

By 2%, from 1801 to 1836 units increased during the indicated period of resale of GAZ trucks, and MAZ resales remained at the level of 2019 – 1240 units.

Volvo and Scania were also among the “five” most resold brands of the used truck market in January. So, last month the volume of resales of Volvo brand trucks increased by 18% and amounted to 1046 units, while Scania truck resales increased by almost 35%, to 1035 units.
