Realme 7i review

Realme has launched Realme 7i in the Realme 7 series this time, just like the previous Realme 6 series. With 7i, the company has introduced the feature of Realme 7 at a slightly more affordable price. Due to the price reduction, you also have to compromise in one or two features. So do the features given in the device justify its price? Does this device prove to be another value for money device of the company? Let’s know the answer to these questions in the detailed review of Realme 7i:

Realme 7i review: Design and Display

Realme has given a split-tone design here. The back panel has a glossy mirror finish at the top and a low gloss glossy finish at the bottom. I do not like this design as much as the design of Realme 7 series, but the design of the device also depends on your own preferences.

You can easily see fingerprints on the phone. We suggest you to use the phone with a protective case so that your phone is protected from all kinds of shaking. Even after the use of the case, if the device is not 188 grams, then it feels right even when held in the hand.

Using the protective case, the camera setup at the back, which is slightly raised, becomes the same.

At the side of the camera setup, there is also a fingerprint sensor at the bottom. You can use the scanner easily and it unlocks the device quickly. On the left side you find the SIM card tray. The bottom features a Type C port, a Solo speaker grill with 3.5mm audio jack.

Looking at the front, the 6.5-inch display in the phone makes you look very real like Realme 7 but the bottom bezel is a bit thick. The phone also supports 90Hz refresh rate, but the resolution is only 720p, which I feel is a bit low, at least FHD could have been given. White appears a bit warm on the display, but you can change it from the display settings.

Realme 7i review: performance and software

You have been given a lot of features in the Android 10 based Realme UI, some of which are as follows:

  • Clone application makes data transfer from old device to new device much easier.
  • Battery gives you long battery backup with Super Power Saving Mode.
  • With the Smart Sidebar, you can directly use the applications you use most.
  • The application looks a bit darker with advanced dark mode.
  • App lock, private safe, doc volt, etc. have been given to you for security.
  • Game space gives you the option of using the game’s time frame rate, screen recording, quick app.
  • You may like the new functions like dual mode audio, super nighttime standby.

The drawback of Reality’s custom skin is the pre-installed application given in it. You also get to see the ad in the phone, for which you will have to turn off the Get Recommendations setting.

Realme 7i review: audio and battery

You have been given a large 5,000mAh battery in the phone. This battery is capable of giving you long battery backup. In the PCMark test, Realme 7i gives about 11 hours of screen on time. The 18W fast charger provided with the phone fully charges the device in about 3 hours.

For connectivity, the phone has USB Type C port, dual band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0 and GPS option. As far as calls are concerned, there is no problem in making calls in our area.

Realme 7i review: verdict

If you talk about Verdict, then in Realme 7i you get good design, bigger battery, more software and almost all the connectivity options. The display looks good because of 90Hz but lacks HD resolution. At a price of Rs 11,990, you get Poco M2 and Redmi Note 9 with FHD resolution but only 60Hz is supported in them.

So if you are limited in budget and you like the device of Realme, then this device can prove to be a good option for you, otherwise you can also consider Xiaomi, Poco phones in this price range.
